ABSTRACT
Education at all levels is seen as a
fundamental catalyst for moral and
intellectual development which humans
require in order to drive a meaningful life.
Tertiary education enhances the training
and development of minds capable of
impacting on the economic and social
development of society. Thus the extent to
which a society can prosper largely depends
on its level of human and infrastructural
development. This study investigated the
impact of TETFUND on the human and
capital development in the south east
federal universities in Nigeria. Data was
collected from the annual bulletin of
TETFUND for the period under review and
analysed using regression method. The
results indicate that funds released for
human
training
and
infrastructural
development has positive significance with
p-values ranging from 0.0022 to 0.00326
respectively. The study recommended
timely disbursement of the interventionist
fund for effective utilization and strict
monitoring of contracts.
